Loving Laragh!

Laragh McCann, the adorable Irish beauty who is just 17 years old, has been modeling for quite a few years now, but she truly stood out during the SS08 season. She walked a number of runways, including Chanel, Marc Jacobs AND Marc by Marc, Mulberry, Louis Vuitton, DKNY, and of course, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (she also landed the SS08 campaign shot by Mark Segal). Laragh, who is with Women in NYC, has also been featured in various magazines since last runway season, such as the cover of Flair (Feb. 08) which is pictured below. Anything coming up for you that we should look out for?
a few things but really focusing on school at the moment.

Calling Collison!

Meghan Collison, the Canadian native who is signed with Mode in Canada and Supreme in NYC was one of the many breakout stars of the FW07 runway season. A favorite of legendary photographer Steven Meisel, she shot 2 Vogue Italia covers in a row with him (October & November), as well as the Prada Resort campaign. She's also appeared recently in Pop, Vogue UK, Vogue Nippon, and Dazed & Confused, and the D&G Resort campaign by Mario Testino. In FW07, her showlist improved slightly, adding big names Michael Kors and Christian Lacroix to the list. After a great FW07 campaign booking (D&G alongside Iekeliene Strange and Rachel Clark), she finally invaded the runways during the SS08 season. How do you do, Behati Prinsloo?

The beautiful Namibian Behati Prinsloo first hit it big during the FW06 season when she walked in nearly every single top designer show, including D&G, Versace, and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Since then she's been a fixture in most runway shows. Her FW07 campaigns included Tommy Hilfigger alongside her bff and previous interviewee Coco Rocha, and Sportmax. Now, in the midst of the SS08 season, Behati is still at the top of everyone's lists - in NY she walked for Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, DKNY, and others, in London she showed up at Luella and House of Holland, and in Milan she worked it out at Max Mara, Just Cavalli, and more! Look for her soon in the SS08 Lacoste campaign, and on the runways in Paris. The best thing about Behati is that although she's a supermodel on the outside, on the inside she's just like you - loves animals, Leo Dicaprio, and milkshakes!

I'm Kukoo for Coco

Coco Rocha is a US Vogue covergirl, Christian Lacroix and Balenciaga and D&G campaign girl, and somehow still an all-around nice, down-to-earth girl. Coco's first runway season was SS05, where she walked for JUST 3 shows. Her next season, FW06, brought Coco to about 15 more runways. And somehow between FW06 and SS07, Coco flew to the top - for the SS07 season she appeared in nearly every top designer show, including Marc Jacobs/Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino, and others. Since then she's kept her place up there on the top, by frequently appearing in US Vogue and other top magazines as well as some fantastic campaigns.

Full Name: Coco Rocha
Age: 18
Height: 5'10
Where are you from? Richmond B.C.
Where do you live now? New York
Favorite show (that you've done)? Many, but I loved dancing down Gaultier's runway.
Favorite photoshoot (that you've done? Cover for American Vogue with Steven.
Describe your personal style: I love dressing up. Depending on my mood, that might mean I like to keep it very casual with some Rag and Bone jeans with some Converse, then I might be a real fashionista and really dress up.
Did you complete school (or are you finishing school now? I did finish school. I had a mom and dad that only allowed me to model if I continued my schooling, and last year I graduated, I'm so happy I did it in the end!!
If you weren't modeling, what would you like to be doing? Probably dancing, that's one of my favorite things to do. I probably would be assistent teaching Irish dance back home.
Top 5 bands/artists: White Stripes, Beatles, Timberland, Justin Timberlake, The Killers.
Top 5 movies: Chicago, Gone With the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny is just so good to look at), Funny Face.
Favorite book? The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory.
What's your drink of choice? Water!
What are some of the perks of being a top model? I guess it would be the traveling and getting to learn diffrent cultures and meet new and interesting people.
What are some of the hardest things about being a top model? It's actually very tiring, people don't beleive me but it's long hours it entails alot of traveling...it is hard work for us physically and mentally.
Anything coming up for you that we should look out for? Something that entails me dancing and The Children's Aids Society!!

To the person who posted a comment asking, yes I did this interview myself!

Morning Wood(in)

It wouldn't be a Dior show without the appearance of Melody Woodin, who has been in practically every single Dior show since SS05 - her latest appearance was in his FW07 haute couture show that took place at Versailles. Melody, who is with Women Model Management in NYC, hasn't done much work otherwise, but her Resort show appearences lately can only hint at good things to come!

Full name? Melody Eileen Woodin
How old are you? Turned 21 this past April.
Where are you from? Hockessin, Delaware. Very exotic!
Where do you live now? I've been in the city for 3 years, currently in Alphabet City!
What is your favorite show that you've done? Any Dior show. Each one tops the last.
What is your favorite shoot that you've done? I did a shoot for Interview with Albert Watson. They dressed me up like Mark Bolan from Trex. I love classic rock so I was thrilled they booked me for it.
What is your personal style like? Tomboy! I do the skinny jeans look for castings but at home I stick to casual comfort.
Did you complete school? I graduated highschool (Alexis I. DuPont) before moving out to NY. I plan on going to college after modeling...aybe Equine Sciences.
If you weren't modeling, what would you like to be doing? My family runs a horse farm, so every chance I get, I'm out at the barn either giving lessons, mucking stalls, or breaking and training the foals. My heart is out there.
What is some of your favorite music to listen to? Wow tough question... ethro Tull, Crosby Stills & Nash (Young as well), The Doors, The Eagles, The Guess Who, Heart, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin...
What about favorite movies? Jurassic Park, Little Miss Sunshine, Wild Hogs (reminds me of my dad!), Over the Hedge (love animated movies), Fried Green Tomatos.
Favorite books? A Clockwork Orange/Water for Elephants.
What's your drink of choice? Dr. Pepper. If we are talking alcoholic, a dirty, dirty martini.
How did you get into the industry? Were you "discovered" or was it a choice? Modeling, for me, was an alternative to heading into a university right away. I wanted to take time to really think about what I wanted to pursue as a career. I grew up in a very small town, so fashion wasn't really a part of my life. I approached Barbizon in Philly, came up to NY for a modeling and talent competition called IMTA, and was scouted by Roman Young, who was at Supreme at the time.
What are some of the perks of being a model? Perks? Well to be 100% honest, I love being around other girls who are built like me. I know that sounds funny, but when you are 6' and only 115lbs, its easy to feel uncomfortable in your physical shell. My mom would say it is getting the occasional designer piece as a trade...I tend to give them all to her.

Thanks Melody! Keep an eye out for this stunner guys...
